I offer mindful movement and meditation practices as the playground for our self exploration and growth. Through movement and breath we come home to our bodies where we learn to be more present with ourselves and others.  When we are present we can see more clearly, choose more wisely and love more fully.

I want to inspire you to connect more deeply with your body, opening to a sense of joy and freedom. The practice of Mindfulness invites us to release the old narratives and fears, to learn to be kind and loving, and to wake up to the wonder of our life experience.

    Our retreats are a wonderful way to take a pause from the busyness of daily life and practice self-care. Whether we are moving our bodies, meditating, resting or enjoying time outdoors - Mindfulness is woven throughout.

Hi, I’m Maria!

I am passionate about Mindfulness and how it can help us learn to move through life with more ease and joy…

My teaching is the synthesis of my life experience as a dancer, yogi and studio owner, mother, friend & wife.  I am grateful for my many teachers over the years and draw inspiration from the traditions of yoga, insight meditation and mindfulness.  

Each practice is an invitation to come home to ourselves, to listen & be kind. Isn’t that really what this world needs most?

What is mindfulness?

In Mindfulness, we don’t need to rush around in a fancy way, push our bodies to the extreme or prove anything to anyone. In Mindfulness, we slow down and tune in, without adding to or judging our experience; in fact, we allow kindness to prevail. We use the breath and awareness as tools for being present . There is a simplicity in riding the wave of the breath, feeling the flow of energy in physical movement and then opening to receive whatever we are experiencing. This simplicity helps us return to our own inner stillness, the natural calm that resides within. We learn to trust the moments of silence that arise where we can tune into the beautiful quiet messages of our own heart.
