Step away from the pace and pull of daily life and reclaim
your sense of steadiness.
This year, Amelia and Maria are delighted to offer this retreat as a gathering for women.
This long weekend is an invitation to soak in the vibrant beauty and energy of fall in the Methow Valley and to tend to yourself in whatever way feels most revitalizing and restorative.
Whether that means hiking among the golden larches, walking the valley floor along the river, riding a mountain bike, receiving a massage, or simply resting with a good book, there will be space to choose what nourishes you most.
Our group practices will include various styles of yoga and mindful movement, mindfulness meditation, self-massage/myofascial release, and breathwork — all intended to help you feel more grounded, aware, and at ease in both body and mind.
October in the Methow Valley offers endless mountain views, immersing us in the beauty of the changing season. Again this year, we’ll gather at the Inn at Mazama on the valley floor, just 30 minutes from North Cascades National Park. At 2,000 feet of elevation, autumn arrives a bit earlier here, bringing warm days and crisp nights. It is an ideal time to pause, reflect, and replenishyour spirit amidst this awe-inspiring natural landscape.

Your Guides:
Maria Bliss:
Maria Bliss is a longtime teacher of yoga, mindfulness meditation, and embodied practice. For more than two decades, she had the honor of owning and directing Yogabliss on Mercer Island, where a deeply meaningful community of practice grew over the years. Mentoring newer teachers and supporting that community remain among the great honors of her teaching life.
Her love of movement began in dance, became a professional path early in life, and eventually evolved into a lifelong devotion to yoga, meditation, and mindful living. Mindfulness has been a central thread in both her personal practice and her teaching for nearly 30 years, and she completed the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program led by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach.
Today, Maria focuses on retreats, workshops, and extended practice experiences that invite people to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect. She is known for creating spaces that are grounded, spacious, and deeply nourishing, while also bringing warmth, lightness, and a gentle sense of humor to the practice.
Amelia Rehm:
Amelia has been guiding students and sharing her passion for yoga since 2016. As the former Studio Manager at Yogabliss, Amelia and Maria have been collaborating for years and are thrilled to continue their work together, this time outside the studio walls!
Amelia leads classes that are well paced; allowing students time to explore each posture and its nuances, without rush. Strong, slow, and deep, Amelia’s sequences will challenge students physically and mentally; encouraging practitioners to go inward and be present. Students will always be offered ways to amplify or modify their practice so that each individual gets what they need and finds that special space where effort and ease are in balance.
Students often express that they value Amelia’s clear and detailed instruction, while not taking the practice or the postures too seriously! Self-compassion is at the center of Amelia’s teaching and you will find that thread woven throughout strong hatha classes, mellow flows, easeful restorative, and soothing self-myofascial release sessions.
Amelia’s teaching is inspired from within the yoga world, and outside of it. Cecily Milne of Yoga Detour©, Kathryn Bruni-Young of Mindful Strength©, Jules Mitchell of Yoga Biomechanics©, and Tiffany Cruikshank of Yoga Medicine© are teachers Amelia has learned from and is studying with, as she relishes a beginner’s mindset and is a forever student.
